
Join us for a day of sun, fun, and body freedom at one of Calgary's longest-running queer-friendly spaces as we celebrate the last day of Calgary Pride!
When: Monday, September 2, 2024. 1:30-7:00 pm
Where: Weaselhead Nude Beach (Far western edge of the park)
Parking Lot: Weaselhead Natural Area Parking (37 St & 66 Ave SW)
DO NOT PARK ON WEASELHEAD ROAD TO SHORTEN YOUR HIKE.
THIS IS TRESPASSING AND JEOPARDIZES THE ONGOING VIABILITY OF THE CLOTHING-OPTIONAL AREA.
Details: Its about a 30 minute (~2 km) walk to the Weaselhead clothing-optional area from the parking lot. Please follow the directions linked above if you've never been to the beach. ⚠️This hike requires moderate levels of physical dexterity to navigate the trail.⚠️
There is no formal programming, start, or end for this event -- just an invitation to spend a sunny afternoon at the beach in your most natural form!
Admission: FREE, bring your friends!
Registration: Not required, but this activity will be cancelled in the event of poor weather. All registered attendees will get an email to let them know.
Things to bring:
- sun block and bug spray
- towel and/or something to sit/lay on
- snacks
- drinking water
- a smile!
Additional Information: The far western edge of Weaselhead Flats in Calgary has been openly used for nude recreation for over 2 decades. Nestled between Glenmore Reservoir and Tsuut'ina Nation (Treaty 7) land, this spot is well off the beaten path. In the last few years, it's grown in popularily and is enjoyed by many on sunny weekends.
