World Naked Hiking Day is technically June 21, but this event will occur on the Saturday!

When: Saturday, 22 June 2024, 1-5 pm

Location of hike: Weaselhead Natural Area Parking (37 St & 66 Ave SW)
Meet at the start of the path at the edge of the parking lot HERE.
Look for the person wearing a  white straw cowboy hat.

Destination: Weaselhead

DO NOT PARK ON WEASELHEAD ROAD TO SHORTEN YOUR HIKE.
THIS IS TRESPASSING AND JEOPARDIZES THE ONGOING VIABILITY OF THE CLOTHING-OPTIONAL AREA.

Details: Its about a 30 minute walk to the Weaselhead clothing-optional area from the parking lot. We will peel off unwanted clothes on the dirt path away from the busy area. Be sure to bring bug spray! This hike requires moderate levels of dexterity to navigate the trail.

Be advised that parts of the trail may be significantly muddy!

Come join us for a rare opportunity inside our wonderful city!

Admission: FREE, bring your friends!

Registration: Not required, but this activity will be cancelled in the event of poor weather. All registered attendees will get an email to let them know.

Things to bring:

  • sun block and bug spray
  • towel
  • water shoes if desired
  • snacks
  • drinking water
  • a sense of adventure!

More Details: We will wear clothes out of the parking area and far enough up the trail to get to a quieter area. The hike requires a moderate degree of physical dexterity and may involve fallen logs, steep inclines/declines, mud, crouching, and some bushwhacking. It is approximately 2.5 km (one way) from the parking lot to the beach.

Location information:  Weaselhead is Calgary's long-standing nude beach. On hot days there are dozens of people present. Occasionally, passers-by end up on the other side of the creek, but this is a secluded location. DO NOT PARK ON WEASELHEAD ROAD TO SHORTEN THE HIKE.
