Registration is closed

THIS HIKE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS OR PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS.

When: Sunday, August 25th 2019

Location of hike:  Due to group size trail limits and periodic unplanned closures, the specific trail and destination info will not be released in order to prevent confusion and people meeting at the wrong place.  There is no cell phone service at the trail heads so we will meet up where there is signal and then caravan in together.

Email CalgaryNudeRecreation@Gmail.com if you will be late to a meeting location.

Admission:  FREE, bring your friends, but please register how many people you will be bringing.

Registration:  Please register so that we can track the group size for trail group size limits.  Please cancel your registration if you can't make it so we wont be waiting for people that aren't coming.

Details:  Please plan on hiking 8 km each way with 1500' of elevation gain.  Destination will have a lake, though it'll be cold water.  Its often windy at the top of the hill, so there likely wont be much nudity there.  BRING A JACKET OR WIND BREAKER!

We seem to have some guidelines that should minimize problems.  Once we build a history of successful events we will look into relaxing our guidelines to allow more naked time.  For now, plan on hiking to destination clothed.  We will be passing a lot of people hiking out.  By the time our group is hiking out most everyone will be gone and we shouldn't pass anyone on our way back to the parking lot (everyone should be going the same direction).

This is a real hike. Please be prepared and bring everything you need.  Wear real hiking shoes.  Parts of the hike may require scrambling with use of your hands.  People joining us need to be in good physical shape.  Upper elevations can be near 8000' so it is difficult to breath.  We need to maintain a decent pace (for the conditions) in order to reach the destination and make it back out again.  THIS HIKE IS NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNERS OR PERSONS WITH PHYSICAL LIMITATIONS.

Travel/carpool:  There is NO CELL SERVICE anywhere near the trail head.  For this reason, we are meeting where there is service and will caravan from there.  If coming from Calgary, meet at the COP McDonald's.  If you live closer to Canmore, you can meet  us at the Stoney Nakoda casino.

Email CalgaryNudeRecreation@Gmail.com if you will be late to a meeting location.

If you can drive, during the registration process please select how many extra people you can COMFORTABLY fit in your car with gear, after your guests and yourself have been seated.  If you have a 5 seater and are bringing 1 guest, thats 2 people in a 5 seater.  Select 2 to 3 people that you can bring.

The most difficult part of this is going to be getting everyone from Calgary to the trail head.  Lets work together on this so that people with no cars can make it too.

Plan on asphalt and gravel roads to get to trail heads.  Cars can make it to the destination, but obviously, trucks are better for gravel roads.

The destination will be shared with everyone where will still have cell service so everyone can dial in the destination with their GPS equipped phones.  We will try to stick together as a group, but gravel roads make a lot of dust, so its difficult to see cars and/or turn offs.
