ATTENTION: THERE HAVE BEEN SLIGHT CHANGES TO LOCATION AND DIRECTIONS DUE TO HIGH WATER LEVELS. NEW SPOT IS 150 METRES FURTHER DOWNSTREAM. Changed on 28 June 2019 @ 9:30 pm. Updated directions July 1 @ 10:00 am.
When: Canada Day July 1st, 2019, 2-6 pm
Park at: MAP
New river spot: MAP This is just 150 metres downstream from original site
Admission: FREE, bring your friends!
Registration: Totally not needed, but if you register we can email you about updates.
Walk: About 8 minutes.
- From the parking lot, walk south towards the entrance to the water treatment plant. There is a paved bike path on the left. Follow this bike path.
- When the bike path splits, continue on the path that says it's closed ahead.
- Exit the bike path on one of the trails and make your way down towards the river (i.e. base of the dam)
- We will be on the gravel bar at the spot shown above. You can walk downstream along the river (this takes some dexterity) or else pick a path through the trees and it will likely exit near where we are.
PLEASE REMAIN ON THE PATHWAYS AT ALL TIMES.
Details: Do you like our swims but miss the sunshine? Come on down and join us on Canada Day! All the best parts of our swims, plus sunshine, who can ask for anything more?
Nestled up against the Glenmore Dam, this quiet spot is a perfect place for us to work on our tans. We invite all like-minded individuals to join us, so bring your friends.
All the right people know where to find us. We even invited some special guests who may show up in uniform. They may be working, but they'll still be happy to see us.
Just like all our events, this will be trouble free. Part of what makes our events trouble free is because they are contextually appropriate and we don't shout when it's not needed. We appreciate EVERYONE returning the favour. Everyone knows what kind of company to expect at our events, so it should be no surprise what types of people will be at this one.
If you like our swims, come join us!
BONUS: We will have a short discussion regarding our advocacy efforts followed by question and answer period. There are bound to be many questions and we wish to be as open and transparent as possible so that people all across Canada can follow in our foot steps.

PLEASE FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS FROM ORGANIZERS TO ENSURE WE HAVE MANY MORE RIVER DAYS.
